Frequently Asked Questions
What is refacing?
Refacing is the installation of custom doors and drawer fronts and wrapping the existing cabinet boxes in the same material to create a cohesive look. This cost-effective option allows you to refresh your space without the need for a full renovation. Additional features like new drawer boxes, slide-outs, and organizers can also be incorporated to improve functionality.
How much does it cost?
The cost of refacing varies from kitchen to kitchen, depending on size and chosen options. Generally, refacing will cost up to 40% less than a brand-new kitchen of the same size and quality.
Can I add soft-close slides to my existing drawers?
Unfortunately, no. The soft-close mechanisms we use are integrated within the drawer box itself. A new drawer would be required to gain this feature.
Where do the materials come from?
We can proudly say Canada! Our high-quality cabinet doors and components for your refacing project are made in either London, Ontario or Delta, British Columbia, depending on your finish selections.
Can I reuse my existing hinges and door handles?
For warranty reasons, we install new, top-quality, soft-close hinges on all of your doors. We can, however, replace or reuse your existing handles and knobs.
Can you reface a bathroom vanity?
Yes! Any room with cabinets can be refaced, including your kitchen, bathroom, home office, laundry room, and garage. This allows you to refresh multiple spaces in your home while saving time and resources.
How much does it cost to get a quote?
Getting a quote is free and the consultation takes about one hour to complete. We aim to have your project estimate delivered to your inbox within one week of your appointment.
How long does it take to transform a kitchen?
Our refacing projects typically take 1-4 days to complete, but your exact project length will depend on the size of your space and the accessories you choose. From the initial consultation to installation, the full process takes about 8 weeks.
